ABOUT MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES
The mission of Matthew 25: Ministries is to fulfill Matthew 25:34-40 of the New Testament by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, affordable shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill, and humanitarian supplies to those in need. Additionally, Matthew 25: Ministries is committed to fulfilling Matthew 25:40 by educating the public on the conditions and needs of the “least of these” and by providing resources for action.
By rescuing and reusing products from major corporations and manufacturers, Matthew 25: Ministries provides basic necessities, nutritional supplements, educational materials, micro-enterprise supplies and disaster relief across the US and worldwide. Matthew 25 uses these product donations as building blocks to encourage individuals to help themselves and to develop healthier, more self-sufficient, sustainable communities.
Matthew 25’s Founder and President Reverend Wendell Mettey and CEO Tim Mettey both have a long and cherished connection with Kirkwood Camp. As an American Baptist Minister and the former Senior Pastor of Montgomery Community Church, Reverend Mettey was dedicated to Kirkwood and the nurturing, formative experiences it provided campers of all ages. His son, Tim, has fond memories of being one of those campers and the many good times he enjoyed at Kirkwood throughout his youth. Wendell and Tim are both excited about what the future holds for Kirkwood.
